 In May 1953, two inseparable friends, Feliciano Campos and Antonio Mantovan, skilled mechanics and lathe workers, opened the CAMPOS & MANTOVAN snc mechanical workshop in Cittadella (Padua). The first machines produced were small machines for working wood, but the CAMPOS & MANTOVAN which started off as a small artisan’s shop in the courtyard of the Campos home, soon became a fully-equipped workshop and began producing machines and plants for a variety of different sectors, mainly for the brick, cotton wool, felt and textile industries. |
 In 1986, thanks to over thirty years of experience, PROMEC Progettazioni meccaniche Srl was established, today PROMEC S.r.l. PROMEC, established by the Campos and Mantovan Bros., brought new energy to the mother company, easily interpreting the needs and requirements of new markets. The idea was to create a young and flexible company which, on the basis of the specific requirements of the customers, would design plants made-to-measure, perfectly suited to the particular productive context. |
 Therefore, no mass-produced machines, but rather made-to-order, designed and manufactured on custom designs. With this spirit PROMEC started producing machines of the highest quality, strong and reliable, using the best materials and components available on the market. Each machine was custom designed right down to the tiniest detail, which was possible right from the start, thanks to our technical office with the latest CAD technology. For the manufacture of the machines we always chose the best possible materials and components available on the market, to obtain a product of the very highest quality. This, combined with the strength of the structures and the strictest test procedures in the PROMEC works before shipping to the customer, guaranteed the success of our plants. Today Promec is specialised in the manufacture of automatic machines and plants for packing metal, both in sheets and coils. Each plant is made-to-measure, designed, built and protected, to meet the specific requirements of the customer. |
